A weird indie proto-sci-fi flic targeted at twens with lots of cool cute kids taking their clothes off and changing gender whenever they get aroused. A well-made piece of fluff that will have you rolling your eyes a few times and feeling guilty that you almost enjoyed it.

This was the “Final Cut”, shown on the big screen at the Cinerama. As good a sci-fi as you’ll get–just as stunning now as when it came out 25 years ago. There is one troublesome aspect to the film, though, and that is the rape scene. Or is it rape when a man forces his affections on an android? Maybe it’s just “reprogramming” your computer?
